This is coming from an employee who worked on the manufacturing floor. Not an engineer or management of any kind.
No bonuses. They might give you a T-shirt every 3 months. Like that gets people jazzed to come to work.
No incentives. Their attitude is, "You're lucky you have a job here." So throw away that gogetter attitude. Because there isn't any benefit to that. Come to work, do your job, and leave.
Zero accountability. Everybody plays the blame game and points the finger at someone else when things go wrong.
CONSTANT ISSUES IN MANUFACTURING. And I really mean constant. It's literally never ending. This isn't coming from the machines or equipment breaking down themselves. It's human error. Mistakes coming from employees in every department throughout the entire process. Their scrap rate is outrageous. More fuel for company parties that you have to pay for. Because those are never free.
No appreciation for hard work. You might as well do as little as humanly possible because it won't make a bit of difference when performance reviews come around.
No decent raises. Most of the time they're 1%-3%. Like that really helps in this day and age. Except for the ones they like. You might get an extra half percent or a whole extra one percent.
No chance of moving up in the company. They play favoritism with those they like. And most likely, you won't be one of those privileged few. Here's a great example. They'll give engineering jobs to those they like regardless of their education and experience. But to those they don't like, that do have a higher level of college education, their excuse will be that nothing is available or their experience and education isn't enough.
They allow a toxic workplace to thrive and enjoy the chaos. It's all fun and games to them.
They care about production and making sure the quotas are met. And don't forget about those big bonuses they get and you'll never see. How exciting!
HUGE PAY GAPS. Again, this leads back to if you're in the click.
Quality is non-existent.
The Quality department is focused on pumping out as much product to the customer as possible vs performing their actual job duties.
Zero communication. And that's not just one department, that's ALL DEPARTMENTS.
If you get a job here, take what experience you can and split. You won't get far here.
