Pros

The hotel was beautiful. Sage senior leadership was great.

Cons

Very few Sage holdings on the west coast so disconnected from the culture. Hotel split ownership and they often disagreed on a vision/mission. Hotel leadership was nonexistent; 3 GMs in a year. Also, there was a VERY offensive Director was never held accountable.

Pros

Flexibility and benefits were a perk. Pay was competitive but not above what other companies pay in the area.

Cons

I have been working in hotels in Denver for ten years and had a horrible experience working with Sage. The team that I worked on was fine, but very gossipy. Spoke ill of each other and other departments constantly. Director was only supportive of friends in the office. Seemed like she would try to push others to leave if she didn't like them. The amount of alcohol consumed at work events was unprofessional and honestly disturbing. I didn't learn anything in this role, and ideas or attempts to grow were always put down. The office had constant turn over, and the director was never helpful with training. Anytime you'd ask any leader a question, they would act like it was a massive inconvenience. Very much a sink or swim culture.

Dear Current Associate - thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're pleased to hear that you found your regional and corporate teams good to work with and that you felt your salary and opportunities for growth were competitive. Our presence in certain cities and markets does ebb and flow a bit, and we hope to grow in Atlanta again soon. Thank you for your time here, you belong with Sage!
