Pros

Internal career moves encouraged, but lack clear framework for lateral career progression

Cons

Very political. Select employees make all decisions (based on politics). Bad behaviours are known but ignored by senior leadership (if individual is part of this select group).

Pros

I love the people I work with, the work I do, and the flexibility I started with of one day in the office, as this contributed significantly to my work life balance and I was more productive at home.

Cons

The pay increases are small, the bonuses are small, progression is difficult, they have increased days in the office to 3 days a week without asking their staff if they'd be happy with it, ultimately pushing away better members of staff, bad staff members are not dealt with properly.

Pros

You can learn all sorts of office jargon like "#OfficeMagic" and also how to use Orwellian language and keep a straight face. If you're a manager then you get to spend time on Glassdoor writing 5 star reviews of the company, so you obviously haven't got enough to do all day.

Cons

Newcastle offices aren't fit for purpose and are bad enough now, but when they force us back in 3 days a week it'll be intolerable. All we can hope is that enough people quit or the management see sense before next year when no doubt it'll be 4 days a week, then finally 5 days a week the next year.

We recently also answered several colleagues' questions about the new 3-day policy. If you've not seen this communication on our internal intranet site, it sheds more light on how colleagues will be supported as they adhere to our updated hybrid structure.
