Pros

> The staff in the Manchester office are amazing and are trying their hardest under testing circumstances > The company benefits are excellent

Cons

The way we plan things and then roll them out is very poor and ideally the whole process needs to be reviewed. We currently have changed the entire sales floor, only to the detriment of the sales staff. Apparently it was a good idea to change every sales persons base of customers and increase their target, so now nobody has any pipeline and have to start again from scratch. We also now have a "specialist team" that know less than the main sales staff but get paid more. We also have a director that rarely visits the office and we have a team of managers who take no accountability and spend most of their time hiding from the sales people. Any feedback offered is not taken well and seen as being negative. Also we seem to have manager favourites that are allowed to work adjusted shifts, these people leave the office around 4/4:30 but no work is being done before 9am. Finally the culture being generated by the managers is worrying, no accountability, people hiding data and also finding out how we can take orders off sales people rather than celebrating the wins.

Pros

Highly talented team Pension contributions matching is decent Five personal development days a year Salaries are average

Cons

Progressions have been non-existant for a while, the small number of people that get them get a title change and a very small pay rise which means you actually lose money as you lose the extra bonus top-up for exceeding your current role. Current policy seems to be you need to officially exceed your role for three years before being able to be promoted. Office looks nice from the outside however it is incredibly not fit for anything other than photo ops. Toilets keep overflowing Water pressure keeps having issues Coffee machines have a lower reliability than McDonald's ice cream machines Not enough parking Not enough places to sit as a team Takes twenty minutes to get served for lunch Lifts break often New mandate that all your Teams calls should be taken in the office. Reason given is to "increase collaboration" however not sure how that can be true when your team will not all be based in the same office. Current rumours as it's way to downside and unfortunately that makes more sense than teams calls in the office increasing collbaration. Product feature requests that come from above rather than customer feedback are not well thought out. We keep spending months of features customers do not use because it sounds good to some exec somewhere.

We appreciate your feedback and have read through your comments. Please note that our hybrid working approach is an important element of the way we work at Sage that is complemented by other benefits such as paid time to volunteer, the ability to work away for up to 10 weeks a year and free well-being support tools. We recently also answered several colleagues' questions about the new 3-day policy. In doing so, we've shed more light on how colleagues will be supported as they adhere to our updated hybrid structure. More information about what we offer can be found here https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Benefits/Sage-United-Kingdom-Benefits-EI_IE1150.0,4_IL.5,19_IN2.htm - Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We’ll continue to work hard to improve how we enable colleagues to thrive.
