      The group of people I work with at Salem Communications are very professional.

      Pros

      From a corporation and radio broadcast point of view Salem Communications is one of the best companies to work at compared to a few of the other broadcast groups in the broadcast business from what I have seen and heard.

      Cons

      Sometimes there are to many divisions within the company that want something from a you right away and all at the same time. When your a one person department and you are working on day to day problems It an be a major problem to stop what you are doing to help the corporate office with requests they as for and need ASAP.

      Pros

      Strong moral character in the leadership of the company that trickles down from the top all the way through each Salem market. Strong belief in family values.

      Cons

      We don't always have access to the tools we need to best do our job. Such as, people must work with older slower computers now with Wide Orbit being a part of our daily lives. Marketing dollars also seem hard to come by.

      Pros

      As an editor, I use my college degrees daily. Most friendly group of people I have ever worked with. Christian company is a blessing. Managers are approachable with questions and concerns. I look forward to coming to work everyday. Benefits are great, such as a personal trainer coming in to teach boot camp after work and quarter parties to celebrate successes. I feel appreciated for my work and dedication.

      Cons

      Salary could perhaps be higher, but we're in a down economy so I understand. It would be nice to be able to take a half day. Salary employees can only take full days off work. Overall though, I am incredibly grateful to work at Salem.
