Salesforce BDR leadership is a complete disaster. It’s run by people who couldn’t succeed in sales, so instead, they spend their time micromanaging, inflating their own importance, and making life miserable for their teams. There is zero investment in employee growth—your long-term success doesn’t matter to them. All they care about is hitting vanity metrics that make them look good while doing absolutely nothing to help the business. And let’s talk about integrity—because there is none. The numbers they brag about are completely manipulated, designed to give the illusion of success while hiding how little actual value they contribute. They latch onto AE deals, take credit for work they didn’t do, and push meaningless tasks just to justify their existence. If the company actually audited their data and practices, the level of incompetence and deception would be impossible to ignore. Salesforce talks a big game about culture and values, but the reality inside the BDR org is toxic, demoralizing, and dishonest. If you're looking for a company that actually invests in your success, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

No pros other than the pay is decent

Cons

Interview process was terrible. Very unorganized. Sales team is filled with cocky and rude people who will not help you.

*My coworkers were hardworking and extremely dedicated to the work *Great pay and benefits *Remote working

*Extremely narcissistic manager and upper management who belittled and spoke down to the team openly - our team joked internally we didn’t know if we would get Jekyll or Hyde daily based on our managers “moods” * In under a year experienced 2 restructures of the team I was on *The word ambiguous is used to describe a toxic and extremely disorganized environment *Impossible to take time off because of workload *Volunteer time is always expressed as a core value but you never actually get to take the time to use it (just is a buzzword to look good publicly) *Pay is great but the GEO zones are absolutely a joke and used to negatively impact remote workers *Lack of transparency on everything regarding workload where you are stuck with a horrific work-life balance *Silent layoffs are absolutely a thing, after publicly laying off thousands, members experienced being put on a baseless PIP with impossible expectations all the while the end result was to be fired *Brownnoser central, people are so afraid of being let go, they will pander to the needs of upper management *Inconsistent values, layoffs were experienced and hardworking people were let go without warning all the while teams were flown out for face to face meetings to spend thousands of dollars *Lack of actual diversity, in a room full of people it was clear and apparent
