Pros

Decent amount of marketing and specialist resources to help in technology positioning.

Cons

Revolving door of reps. Account list is sparse. Pressure for revenue is monthly and not quarterly. average AE lifespan is 12mos or less. Management pressures internal recruiting to hire as they will never be at capacity in reps due to the constant turnover.

Pros

Smart people Great pay Perks Foundation and volunteering Some great leaders spread across the company especially the legacy Sfdc folks who have grown with the company

Cons

An influx of oracle execs who don't fit the culture or get saas and innovation. Top execs will look the other way at the behavior of some people who produce. A culture that tolerates certain behaviors that would get you fired at 95% of other companies runs rampant and at very sr levels. Sfdc markets the culture very well but it's not an aloha/Hawaiian culture. When you know what is under the hood, it's a rough and tumble culture where some people change who they are for the sake of succeeding and surviving to make a lot of dough.

Lots to learn, but comes at great personal cost

Pros

- Great teammates from variety of industries - VTO and giving back to company keeps me motivated to be a force for change in our community - Lots of great tools to train on - Excited about the new products (IoT cloud, Lighting, etc)

Cons

- No work life balance - only way to handle daily work load is to sacrifice nights and weekend personal time. So alternative is to fall behind to stay sane. - No time to use the great tools for training - Politics beyond anything ever experienced in an organization - Self-branding is more important than team branding (superhero culture) - Workload changes rapidly, in my org - change is slow (from a structure perspective)

While I'm glad to hear that you are learning and are excited by Salesforce's products, Volunteer Time Off and people, the lack of work-life balance you express in your review is concerning. We encourage employees and managers to have regular conversations about how they are doing and to make sure we are all taking care of ourselves and each other. We know our people do their best work when they are also prioritizing important things outside of work like family, friends and hobbies. If you have ideas on how we can improve, my door is always open. Cindy Robbins EVP, Global Employee Success
