CSG: Better Elsewhere

Pros

- benefits - pay - office design - free coffee and snacks - decent internal systems

Cons

Politics in Salesforce CSG are some of the worst I’ve encountered. Diversity - though marketed very well to candidates - doesn’t exist. Managers are determined by tenure, not skill nor ability. Consulting services at Salesforce are consistently assessed by analysts as lower quality than competitors because Salesforce never teaches its consultants how to consult and deliver, and hires the same inexperienced crowd you’d see in lower roles at any consultancy, but brands them as product experts since they work at Salesforce. Leadership is “elbows out” mentality.

Pros

- Big name. - OOM ( haven't tried though).

Cons

This was suppose to be my dream company but I think I joined wrong group - Mulesoft. Everyone is so rude. Micromanagement at it's peak. Existing Mulesoft employees don't want to include new joinee in their circle or want to work with them. Doing any work seems like its my personal interest to work and existing employees are there to create obstacle and see how I go past them - so they can judge. Very less experience managers. And they are promoting 3-4 years experience people to manage/lead 8-10 years experience employees, just because their 3 years experience is in Mulesoft. And they will treat you like a freshman our of collage. Your industry experience doesn't matter. They don't even want to know how it works outside and or change a bit. I still can't believe I am writing a bad review for Salesforce. (I'd really love to change it in future, if things change. I am banking on OOM)

Pros

Company is growing extremely fast but you need to be on the core side of the business.

Cons

If your not on Core/Running the account strategy then your an overlay sales person for one of the recently acquired applications. 1) You can't control your own number 2) Your management runs you buy a spreadsheet
