Pros

Good benefits, (supposed) emphasis on diversity and serving 'stakeholders'

Cons

Lack of understanding of how to go to market without sales, disingenuous "Thank yous" and a demand for all new company employees to assimilate without question or input.

Pros

I like the people I work with and the actual work that I do.

Cons

Since getting activist investors, the company has dramatically changed. They're driving up the stock price by firing employees, not funding our bonus (which is really just part of expected pay), and delaying promotion cycles to defray costs. Years ago, I joined a company that was on a mission to help business owners connect with their customers and grow. Now the company is just about returning value to the shareholders.

Pros

Benefits are amazing. Salary is pretty good and competitive, commission payouts are very large.

Cons

Executives have decided to take “work from anywhere” model away, causing employees to have to move back to chicago just to keep their role. Barely a hybrid position now, as sales must be in 4 days away. Barely gave any notice before implementing this, making it hard for people with kids and pets to come up with options after years of WFH. Literally wants you there from 8-5 with no flexibility. Many people have been on edge since November about layoffs. No transparency on layoffs and the criteria on how that was selected. Still potentially looking at more layoffs. They are really doing silent firing. Many roles let go that were newer in their seat and needed more guidance on selling, instead they got the boot. If you are friends with management they will go to bat for you, however being newer I’m that role they will take an account away from you that was given to you, and give to someone that they like calling it “customer satisfaction.” They scream about diversity but fail to execute. Maybe about 15 African Americans In the building, without really giving them a fair Chance to make the kind of money other AE’s make. Month after month the top reps are RARELY any people of color. They push volunteer work, but keep it mostly in north Chicago, not actually hitting the areas in the city of Chicago that really could use the help. Took away our mental health day that we got once a quarter and decreases bonuses even tho we made a decent profit.
