A lot expected of you for a sales assistant e.g. opening closing cashing up banking. Management is out of touch and doesn't listen.

I left head office last month after 13.5 years. It used to be a lovely place to work, now it is awful. Staff are very over worked and under appreciated. Averagely in the commercial team, you should expect one person to be doing the work of about 3 people on a daily basis. If you do well, praise is pretty much unheard of , but if anything goes wrong management love to play the blame game and make people feel terrible. The office is a miserable place to be as everyone is so stressed all he time. People are made to feel worthless. Also the HR team is terrible and unprofessional. If you have kids, don't work here as they make you feel bad for having children and heaven forbid you get ill - that's just not allowed. Very clicky and a bad atmosphere in the office. I've seen people be bullied out, I've seen people come in happy and leave months later just a shadow of the person they were before. Leaving is the best thing I ever did.
