      Fast-moving company with big potential

      Pros

      Great vision and long-term plans with potential to become the category-defining company in this industry. International team with colleagues working in-office and remote from everywhere. No micro-management (as far as I have seen), which speaks to management’s trust in the employees.

      Cons

      New company-wide strategies might be implemented too quickly or introduced prematurely. Cross-collaboration could be better, but management has made specific efforts in improving this, and it has definitely shown results, but there’s still a way to go.

      Pros

      Great operational people to work with. People are generally very skilled and helpful. Salsify pays relatively well for France. Summer flex is implemented so people get to work 4/5 days a week from June to August.

      Cons

      Product is very complex because of its needed configurability both on ProductXM (Salsify's original solution) and SupplierXM (Alkemics' original solution) There's one of the poorest leadership I have experienced in France accross departments (R&D, CS, Product, PS) from Director to VP levels. This is exemplified by the lack of decision making (team of delegators), commitment (some leaders seem to work far less than operationals) and integrity/exemplarity (some leaders allow themselves to have unprofessional attitudes). This is even worse since recent layoffs and promotion & raise freeze. This added to complex customers (retailers and manufacturers) puts a very high pressure on operational people accross departments. I think both companies Salsify and Alkemics used to be great start-ups/scale-ups with thought leadership. Now these days are gone and I wouldn't recommend to join this company whatever the rôle.
