Pros

Good way to get experience with crises and mental health. It's fulfilling to know that I am making a difference no matter how small to the youth in our care. As someone who currently doesn't have children but hopes to, I have learned a lot about the responsibility it will require and how I hope to prepare for that time.

Cons

There is a lot of discussion about self-care and burn out from upper management. However, in practice I have yet to see upper management provide adequate support to employees for burn out. Additionally, the work culture has divided the shifts and there is a lot of blame being passed around with little understanding as every team is lacking support.
