Pros

-Great training -Good food (so it's not hard to sell, plus you get to eat) -Great people for the most part -Can be very profitable on some nights -Not much sidework

Cons

Some nights you won't make anything General manager plays favorites like crazy Not much respect unless you are high ranked Managers "coach" every little mistake, even if it's not going to effect anything VERY hard to get time off Overstaffed most of the time

Pros

The management and other servers are nice, and fun to work with. There are slow and busy times, which is true for all server positions. Training is hard but will completely prepare a server for their job.

Cons

When it's slow it is bad because there is no money to make. Company policies are strict but not unreasonable. Can be high stress when store is very busy.

Pros

Opportunities for better positions are available for a person willing to jump through the right hoops. If you are a people-pleaser and prefer instruction to self-determination, this is a great place to stay. Overall, a very good place to learn a base-line of how to correctly serve guests in a casual dining environment.

Cons

Extreme rigidity in the requirements of training and service will not appeal to seasoned service staff. The amount of jingoism attached to every portion of their "World-Class" service requirements is sickening. It is evident that upper management believe thier past successes support the conlcusion that any course they choose is the only course to any future reward. Extraordinary pressure to conform to arbitrary standards is placed on each employee, from bus-persons up to store management. Servers (especially newly hired ones) can be sent home for slight wrinkles in their clothing, having 2, but not 3 pens, or even being just a few dollars short on their bank. The level of service expecation from upper management is so extreme that there is, in fact, a script for each server and bar-tender to follow through the course of a meal. Servers for whom sales are less than expected are pointed out publicly.
