Pros

Pay was great for someone who started with no prior experience in any fields. As an electronics sales associate I started at $8.85 and the responsibilities were few and easy.

Cons

The managers had a sense of entitlement that I couldn't handle. The power of being an assistant manager had gone to every last one of their heads and they treated employees with little respect.

Pros

Typically pays above minimum wage Very solid managerial structure (gm, one manager per separate area) Hard work CAN translate into advancement

Cons

Corporate is out of touch with in store realities Almost impossible to get full time with out being a team lead Lack of consistency (high turn over among the 18-22yo age group)
