Pros

Usually a great group of employees (excluding upper management). I made several life-long friends working at Sam's.

Cons

They don't care about their employees. I hurt myself on the job and asked to be taken to a doctor, and spent 30 minutes instead being berated by a manager and told why my injury was all my fault. Was told that I would be stuck with the bill because the company would find a way to not be responsible for my doctor's fees. I took a few days off and ended up being in so much pain that I went to urgent care on my own dime. Turns out I had such a bad muscle pull in my back I needed physical therapy. The month I left, we had lost upwards of 6 cashiers due to injury or general dissatisfaction with management.
