Pros

Good place to work with a lot of nice people. Descent pay.

Cons

If you don't know someone that works there to put in a good word for you then you probably won't get hired. Management has their favorites and don't even try to hide it.

Pros

increasingly there is no pro to working at Sam's at the store level.

Cons

constant cutting of hourly help and management is expected to fill the gaps. I was working 65-75 hours a week. Only 6 months ago they cut over 1000 management level jobs with Sam's. It's coming again as they move increasingly to online sales. In just the past few months, several higher-level managers have left the company.
