Pros

The people that work there are some of the nicest you'll meet. Associates work hard to pull their weight around the store. Perfect for anyone that likes to stay busy during the day. The pay is above average.

Cons

Understaffed most of the time leading to usually only 3 or 4 floor associates for the day. You only get attention if you actively make the store money through renewed memberships, pluses, credits, etc. Appreciation for working hard or doing a good job goes widely unnoticed. It feels like there is almost no trust or respect between associates and management. No set schedule. Schedule can also change without notice. The relationship between associates and management feels almost like its the managers vs the associates. Rules are selectively enforced. Managers aren't all on the same page. Some want to stay and make sure everything is done correctly while some just care about getting out as soon as possible. Problems with efficiency are pointed out to associates but nothing is really done to solve the problem except point it out. The whole work environment feels fairly hostile between management and staff if you are on the sales floor.

Pros

When things were good they were great, when they were bad it was hell. If you're part time and enrolled in school see below.

Cons

Management flip flops every few months, any hard work you've put in to move up gets thrown out with every new manager. Politics plays a huge roll along with managers playing favorite. Unprofessional behavior is the norm. If you are full time you will not have a set schedule as the part time associates dictate what you work or don't work. If you find yourself in hot water and you get punished by corporate or the management team up to but not limited to a termination they do not provide the information to your release. Be prepared to get a lawyer to uncover the information if any at all.
