Pros

I get more hours then what they schedule me for. Pay is ok. I am part time but work close to full time.

Cons

Goodness gracious! Unorganized, poor management, not enough people at all. Example, typical day I come in to cut meat for our fresh meat department and I am the only person in my department including rotisserie I make up the fresh fish, cut meat, rod up chickens for rotisserie, put rotisserie in oven, take out of oven, bring out fresh chickens, all this throughout the day. Then close, clean rotisserie ovens, meat department, and run at least three pallets of trash and boxes to throw away and wait for manager to unlock trash compactor. Pull all cut meats from counter and fresh fish to clean display. I have to leave on time lol

Pros

you start to build a re-pore with your customer's

Cons

the managers constantly harass the cashiers to try and get the customers to upgrade their membership from regular members to plus members. This is a $60 difference and most people don't go shopping at Sam's with an extra $60 to get an upgrade on their membership. When the customer would refuse the managers would reprimand us

Pros

most of the co-workers get along. you are guaranteed yearly raises. most of the management are friendly and approachable. there are opportunities to advance.

Cons

Salary caps are low, once you max out, you never get a raise again, so you are forced to advance to make more. management like to use scare tactics to keep employees in line. You feel no appreciation for the work you do.
