Great company with good benefits but tough work life balance and a minimum of a 50 hour work week
Pros
Working at Sam's you will get great benefits as well as good pay at the management level. Sky is the limit with moving up in the company. If you have a great work ethic and a positive attitude, you will move up pretty easily.
Cons
Constant hiring and firing. It never ends because the hourly associates don't get paid a great wage so turnover is extremely high. Work life balance is very tough since your schedule fluctuates week to week. You also work a minimum of 50 hours a week and can be asked to take zoom calls when you aren't even scheduled to work. Very negative attitudes of associates across the company especially in metro area store. You most likely will not be able to take any time off from October-December as most managers call this a black out period and pto is not acceptable to take.
