Pros

Office perks like snacks, free lunches pre-COVID, medical/dental, unlimited PTO*, 401k matching Great office location downtown. Nice product

Cons

Please take down this Black Lives Matter solidarity post. Knowing full well you have a close to 0 Black people in management roles (just discovered the small number in management roles was reduced after the lay off across all offices), 0 in Executive roles and probably none in the board of directors. Imagine, I needed time to process the recent lay offs first, having great talented colleagues of mine gone on the spot then hearing we received 400 millions in funding the same day did not sit right with me but NOW seeing Samsara jumping on the woke brand bandwagon with its skeletons in the closet, I could not stop myself from writing this review. Inexperienced managers/directors who have no business managing other people, surprisingly not laid off leading me to my next point. Favoritism/nepotism, you know who they are and why they still have their jobs right now, we see you. If you want to work there once hiring freeze is lifted, make sure you put your intelligence, feedback, opinions and motivation deeply hidden, it's like talking to a wall of mediocrity. Just say yes all the time, only yes men/women pleasing egos are valued. Soulless place. Also loving the interesting influx of 5 star reviews, again, we see you.

Pros

Company is doing well. There are large $$ opportunities here, but it's all luck if you get good accounts to work.

Cons

Zero culture, total boys club/fraternity, no diversity. Not even very smart people, just competitive bros who have never worked at a real organization. If you enjoy cold calling all day with nothing else on your calendar, this is a good place for you. Counter intuitive operations/sales leadership, sales managers and upper management have no one's best interest in mind aside from their own. Reps are forced to jump through every single hoop to get deals to close when customers are actually begging to buy (internal politics, finance team push back, forced to purchase through partners that incur interest or you lose money on your deal, etc.). Extremely emotional buyers, lack of strategic and viable conversations. Inbound leads are sent via round robin on your phone so you are expected to not be away from your desk for too long. Most people eat catered lunch at their desk. You get a lead list of 150 companies that have already been called into by the last 10 reps for the past 3 years, inbounds are completely random, ADRs have no idea how to qualify and their incentives do not align with AEs (often get extremely unqualified leads and then have to deal with a ADR demanding why it deserves to be qualified). Lack of career growth and intellectual conversations. Many people are miserable and it is a toxic shark tank environment, overall consensus is that it is an unhealthy place to come to work but no one wants to talk about it so everyone is fake and talks about how great they are behind a crooked smile. Assuming most people are just waiting for their options to vest? Hitting your quota is not enough, expected to go above and beyond for any recognition. Blatant favoritism. Quota continues to go up every quarter. All and all, the "getting in early" phase is gone. Do yourself a favor and find another company that sells something interesting and cares about their employees.
