      Hardworking team struggles under poor leadership

      Some genuinely hardworking and kind people tried their best to show up everyday and contribute to the team.

      Cons

      Poor leadership. A lot of senior leaders were egotistic and ignorant. Many people who worked there a long time were just coasting, giving the bare minimum and cast blame on others. Hardworking people ended up bearing all the workload and burning out fast.

      Pros

      Strong compensation, good benefits, and solid bonus potential. Samsung Electronics America has the scale, brand, and financial strength to attract strong talent. In some teams, work life balance is reasonable.

      Cons

      The culture is political and heavily relationship driven. A “friends of friends” environment can outweigh performance, which makes advancement and evaluation feel uneven. Decision making is bureaucratic, HQ driven, and often removed from U.S. market realities. MBOs at senior levels can feel manipulated, which undermines trust in the process.
