Pros

In general, can be at times a fairly relaxed work environment. Ownership seems to care about the company and it's employees. Cheap promotional apparel.

Cons

Serious issues with leadership levels between the owners and the rank-and-file workers. Mid-level managers routinely embellish project/employee status and satisfaction and have outright lied to ownership in meetings when it comes to capabilities and deliverables. Ownership seems content to reward mid-level incompetence because of years of service and "loyalty". Warehouse operations woefully in need of technology enhancements that an inflated IT department seem incapable of delivering. Call Center leadership married to anachronistic processes. Huge IT department delivering mediocre results.

Pros

Truly a fun place to work. Overtime is what you make it. Work/life balance is not a myth here. The job rarely comes home with you and weekends are truly your time (unless an on call employee). Flexible hours for most employees with many opportunities for growth. Owner knows most people on a first name basis. Good management in most departments with many examples of decade long tenure or more.

Cons

Poorly structured training in most non-call center departments. HR is very corporate while the rest of the company is still "family owned and operated". Managers, while nice and flexible, could do better at giving feedback and following through. Benefits are not superior and compensation is lower than industry standards. There are virtually no opportunities for continuing education.
