Pros

The direct care clinicians who engage face to face with the clients are wonderful with an inviting and pleasant atmosphere.

Cons

I would give the company less stars if I could but this would be a disservice to the front line workers administering group care. The primary con to working at this position with this company in this location would clearly be inept management. Upper management spends hours on meaningless fluff tasks such as fetching snacks for clients and a sparse few words for clinicians in dire need of support. It is, perhaps, the fourth circle of Dante’s hell.

Pros

Thoughtful caring coworkers who genuinely care about people and clients.

Cons

The burning out of those same caring people from constant changes in schedules, coworkers, clients, and just overall the goal post seems to move every other day. Leads to an ever shifting foundation. Hard to regulate clients when the staff are inevitably dysregulated by the chaos going on in the background of the company. This company prioritizes money over client and staff sanity. Ya’ll they take on clients who have mental illnesses, and add them with clients who have behavior or conduct disorders. Leads to lots of inevitable breakdowns between clients. This hurts the adolescents seeking treatment and the staff trying to help. On site staff, repeatedly have to clean up the mess of what the off site, corporate players decide to bestow upon on them. Greed. Money for upper management. Chaos for us minions below who do their bidding. Staff turnover. Repeat. I read so many reviews and a LOT OF THE good reviews are from upper management. Some new employees are asked to potentially write an indeed review about the company. Most indeed reviews have a very poor rating from actual, onsite employees.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We know residential work in behavioral health can be incredibly demanding, and burnout is a real challenge across the field. It’s clear you care deeply about clients, and we value the dedication and compassion you brought during your time here. At Sandstone, all admissions are reviewed by licensed clinicians to ensure clients are placed at the appropriate level of care, and we work to balance clinical needs with creating a safe and supportive environment for both staff and clients. We also recognize how important stability, clear communication, and support are for the teams doing this work, and we continue to focus on strengthening those areas. We’re grateful for your contributions and the care you showed clients, and we wish you the best moving forward.
