We appreciate your past service with S&L. We value the opinions of all former and current employees, and yours are no exception.
However, we are disappointed that this is not an accurate reflection of S&L’s culture. We do want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and reaffirm our strong commitment to our employees and providing a workplace that is free from unlawful and improper harassment, violence and that promotes respect for others. We have an established Non-Harassment & Workplace Violence Policy along with an Employee Concerns Program and take these matters very seriously. In addition, S&L forbids retaliation against anyone for reporting conduct prohibited by our Non-Harassment & Workplace Violence procedure, assisting in making a complaint, participating in an investigation, filing a discrimination charge, or otherwise pursuing their rights under the law.
We also promote and support a culture that fosters continuous discussion and feedback surrounding performance through various outlets – annual performance reviews and performance conversations, a required minimum quarterly check-in with day-to-day supervisors to have future forward conversations and an opportunity to coach, guide, support, and develop employees, and where performance deficiencies are exhibited, we implement a progressive discipline approach to coach, counsel, and provide clear expectations of areas in need of sustained and lasting improvement.
It is imperative for employees to do their part in adhering to standard operating procedures, employee relations procedures and notifying HR and/or their Manager, Supervisor, etc. of any concern or experience that is not in alignment with our company expectations.
