Just gets worse.

Pros

I'm working as a NASA contractor. Immediate management (also contractor) is easy to work for and is the main reason I've stayed.

Cons

SSAI is just a figure head for the contract I work on. My 2021 raise was the lowest raise I've received during my lengthy time on this contract and preceding contracts. I was told it was the "industry average". Pushes socialization too much. Many of the "perks" they offer are for employees who don't work on the contract. Medical Benefits are horrible. Now, they've required a new software to be installed on your computer in order to do your timesheet. The problem is that most of the contract workers use customer issued computers and this new software isn't compatible. On top of that, we haven't been given the new software to download, so we've been unable to do our timesheet in nearly a week.

Pros

Most Employees at SSAI are really great people and awesome to work with. Pay is average, not the best.

Cons

CEO switch around 2021 led to a new CEO who's only in due to being the owner's son a classic case of nepotism. He has berated employees in Teams meetings in front of others, citing that someone "of his level" shouldn't have to reach out to the lower teams in order to oversee work getting done. A filing error that happened on his watch led to the company losing an entire contract and also led to mass layoffs. Join this company at your own discretion. Remote work has been gotten rid of completely, hybrid is an option but with current leadership expect everyone back in the office full time eventually. Finally, opportunities to grow are stagnant. Sometimes you'll be promised a higher position only for upper management to hire employees from overseas to fill those positions. During the layoffs they let go of several higher paid employees for new employees who did the same roles but had lesser pay.
