Pros

I work on a government contract. The leave benefit is one of the best.

Cons

There was a forced outing of the previous president in order to keep the company "in the family". The current president and CEO are married to each other. The previous president was extremely likeable and he was connected to the staff. The current president doesn't even come close to him. We haven't seen him at an on campus function like we did the previous president and he comes across as whiny. There are also several rumors that he has a hot temper and displays it when he thinks no one is looking. The CEO's education doesn't match the company's focus and she come across as boring and stiff, like she's reading from a teleprompter. Recently received a "Wellbox" in the mail. It was a complete waste of money. Didn't care for anything in it. I would have rather had the money they spent on it. They push socializing outside work hours too much. The health benefits are barely average. Grateful they didn't win the contract.

Great team, not great upper management

Pros

My immediate group was great. We supported each other well, and my supervisor was dependable.

Cons

Upper management was very frustrating to interact with. There were instances of people being shamed for trying to use PTO and rumors on how chaotic everything was up top. Every talk made me feel less confident with the direction we were going. plOay was low and the performance-based raise we had for the most recent year was a joke. Due to contracts winding down, staffing at the PMO level was very unstable. Additionally, there was. Lot of turnover because of internal frustrations.
