Pros

1.) Flexible work schedule 2.) Free soda and snacks plus frequent catering 3.) Nice office space

Cons

1.) Poor communication: top-down and cross-departmental communication is quite lacking. Work and decisions are very much completed in silos which negatively impacts the organization as a whole and leads to confusion among the employees. It is not uncommon for employees to find out they have new positions and new managers by reading a company-wide email. 2.) Weak leadership: could very much benefit from management training and a more selective recruiting process (lots of executive and mid-level management turnover within the past few years) 3.) Gender inequality/little diversity: no women on the leadership team and furthermore the ratio of females to males in any type of management role is embarrassing (less than a handful of women managers in a 300+ international employee base with the majority of those being within the HR department) 4.) Growing pains: frequent (and poorly communicated) re-orgs lead to a weak structure and instability of job roles and teams 5.) Corporate culture: There used to be monthly corporate events that built camaraderie and team cohesion but those have long been phased out. Corporate culture has quickly turned negative and toxic. 6.) HR is not a practical solution to employee issues - do not share anything with the HR department that you would not want shared with the rest of the company. Matters spoken in confidence are known to be shared along with their source (on more than one occasion).

High Growth Company facing the next phase of growth - Are you up for it?

Pros

This is a company that's in transition. High growth @ scale that blows away industry metrics but yet finds itself looking to grow up to embrace prospects of hyper-growth. Every high-growth company faces a moment of truth - will we prevail the next growth phase or putter away. I can tell you that I believe that this growth engine has what it takes. It's flawed and messy at times but the culture of striving for excellence is set in motion. Change does not happen overnight but requires people willing to come along and accept those that wish to leave. Renewed sales team; Opportunity to fill high-growth Enterprise market; Exceptional demand for product; Perfect candidate for IPO or Acquisition. Not many companies have their performance numbers.

Cons

It's a place for self-starters who are mission driven and smart. No room for hand-holding.

Pros

The company has been on a good growth pace for the past 5 years. There are plenty of opportunities to bring new ideas or improve old processes. The business continues to grow into a larger company model with tiered positions and adding better talent to shore up various departments during this growth phase. The upcoming new platform launch also creates opportunities for innovation at the technical level.

Cons

This is not a place to park your career and expect everything to happen on your behalf. You need to be driven and be prepared to recommend solutions to issues rather than wait for others to solve them for you. Since the business is evolving, we're still refining processes and learning from mistakes. Often that takes some patience, strong character and drive to be successful at ScienceLogic.
