Pros

The relationships and connections made with the volunteers Seeing the progression of youth through the program over the years

Cons

Work life balance and the expectations of being in the office during business hours but then consistently available when volunteers have their time available to focus on the program (nights and weekends). Internal promotions even when they're not qualified but because they've been with the organization for x number of years.
