Pros

If you can excel and advance in your first 3 years, you should have a very fulfillingand prosperous career.

Cons

The time commitment it takes to be successful in your first 3-5 years can be more than some are prepared to dedicate.

Not what you think they are.

Pros

Unique opportunity (especially for younger staff members) Usually left alone to work on your own Given a decent amount of autonomy

Cons

Salary is criminal, literally they've already had legal issues surrounding a few positions You work almost 60 hours a week, pretty sure they only pay for about 40. 150/week worth of room/board is suppose to be given to you. But you live in a tent and are given food the edges towards inedible.

Pros

Working with dedicated volunteers who really invest their time and money in the program. Meeting business contacts in many different fields. Helping people and their families.

Cons

Terrible work hours and conditions. Lied to by management every time they get a chance. Scout Executives are not interested in advancing employees due to how hard it is to train new employees to fill the voids. Management cares only about the numbers (money, number of members, etc). Scout Executives lie to the public and move money to places it was not designated. No respect for employees personal life and no concern for their well being.
