Pros

The Animals... most of SW San Antonio know each other, I guess that's good. Really there is a 20 word minimum. .. I cant think of much else besides the animals.

Cons

You are used and abused... little respect is given to any hourly employee. Pay is low. Most animal staff are there because of the animals... not because management or pay. The Peter Principle is in full effect. There is an undercurrent of deceit. .. communication is horrible. Lots of secrets and twisted perceptions of truth... this because SW is under a magnifying glass. Do not get a minute of OT you will be written up...although millions of dollars are horribly spent.

Pros

Co-workers are great, and unlimited access to the parks are a great perk.

Cons

The current headline reflects the dissatisfaction caused by upper management's focus on maximizing profits at the expense of fair compensation for employees. This approach has led to the loss of valuable personnel to competitors who offer better pay and recognize their employees' worth. If the CEO prioritized taking care of their workforce, they could potentially double their profits solely by boosting employee morale. Employees are enticed by fancy titles and the promise of a 5-10% raise, but they soon realize that their compensation falls significantly below the market value. It's important to note that working in the backend comes with the disadvantage of nonexistent bonuses and infrequent raises. Shockingly, there have been instances where individuals have gone seven or more years without a salary increase. Oh, also if you’re a magician that wears multiple hats, this is the place for you. Human Resources is also terrible, don’t forget to make a splash.
