Pros

Sears is a long time competitor in the retail industry, but they have lost some of their competitive edge in the last few years. They are working hard to gain back life time customers, but need to go back to focusing on customer service and doing whatever is necessary to take care of the customer.

Cons

Be prepared to work you butt off and never receive a simple "thank you" or "nice job." I have been with the company for several years and every day I wonder why I am still there... I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a job.

Pros

Sears provides a great career path with lots of advacement options in Loss Prevention. With Sears if you can prove yourself you will only go up. The loss prevention program involves more than just catching shoplifters, it is also about stoping shrink and creating a safe working enviornment for all.

Cons

Senior managment can at times be very demanding and place large work loads that have to be completed with little time.

Pros

Sears is a company that will provide opportunity for advancement for those willing to work longer hours and who are looking to grow within the company. The hours necessary for managers may be quite a bit, especially in peak times of the year such as during the holiday shopping season. However, if the performance and the willingness to develop your skills, you can get ahead with this compane.

Cons

Sears can place very high demands on employees, especially sales associates and sales managers, to meet high quotas/sales goals. Sears can be quick to terminate associates who are not able to meet these goals.
