Pros

Before the merger with K-mart, Sears was the best place to work - fantastic leadership and a feeling of making a difference. After the merger, everything changed - perhaps it came for the fact that the K-mart management team lost so much in terms of benefits and salary with the bankruptcy. I personally experience senior management that supported reallocation of budget to unintended projects, accepted gross inaccuracies in terms of projects and reports when it was expedient. I suppose it may be a good opportunity for an entry level person, but they would need to have a strong internal moral compass.

Cons

Senior leadership has a mentality that money is what matters most - regardless of ethical issues

Cons

sears is for sears strickly for the co. They dont give a damm about its employees and its customers. The co has certain policys that it will not ever change. The co constantly changing other policy all the time because management dont know what the hell they are doing. The co has to constantly hire people because people are being fired and other are tired of the crap going on getting yelled at by customers because of sears lousy service.
