Pros

Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits. I have never worked in a place that offers so many great benefits such an employee assistance program and free bus pass.

Cons

The opportunities for growth are horrible. Whenever I applied for a job at another department the hiring manager would call me back to tell me that she already had somebody else hired for the position. The only people who got higher positions or got promoted within my department were non-minorities.

Pros

Location Beautiful surrounding neighborhood On-site medical clinic (VERA) available for staff Wonderful hospital with dedicated nurses and doctors

Cons

One of the most belittling and bullying bosses I have ever had. Atmosphere on the executive floor is oppressive. Heavy atmosphere. No one EVER seems to be having any fun. Systems are inefficient and difficult to use. Lack of trust from execs to assistants and between assistants. Sick and vacation time is lumped together. Very “old school” environment (feels like working in an office in the 1980’s) No option to work remotely when sick HR is worthless, and filled with incompetent morons
