Pros

I found a school in the district that I like, but it's underfunded and the job is too ridiculously hard for any amount of money.

Cons

I can't afford to live as a divorced mom of two kids, where I teach despite 25 years of experience and a Masters plus 90. The district has decades of mismanagement, making anything but radical change the only path.

Pros

The pay is decent IF YOU HAVE A MASTERS.

Cons

There is no work life balance in schools. You bring your work home. You work on weekends. It depends on the building you are in but there is also a lack of Admin support. Lack of teacher voice. Lack of transparency from the district about what is really going on.
