Pros

PTO is the ONLY pro at this company.

Cons

Management has favorites, they do most of their hiring from other states, management asks if you want feedback after interviews but NEVER gives it and when they do, they don't give feedback specific to you or your interview. The examiners are lazy and rude but the only dept. that gets reprimanded is customer service. The auditors judge based on what they would do during a call and if it differs then your audit is horrible. Although the company is diverse, the only people that get support, is non minority. Management will let anyone train new hires, even if they don't know what they're doing and when you do know what you're doing, they won't promote you or increase your pay training the new hires. The customers are RUDE as hell and can talk to you any kind of way and no matter how nice you are, despite their nastiness, they will still complain about customer service and the rep will get a horrible audit. The managers in the Indy office get almost NO support from management and therefore, are not supportive to subordinates. Also, if you actually end up going out on a leave, the examiners that work Sedgwick employee's cases, move slowly when reviewing our cases but will process the client's we service within 2 days.

Pros

PTO, 401K match and HSA contributions

Cons

Pay is some of the lowest in the industry. They start people off at what other companies started people off 15 years ago for the same position. Then you will only get a 2.5% raise each year which is just enough to cover the increase in medical benefits. Then they expect you to feel excited about your raise, it's like a slap in the face. There is no work life balance, you get paid on 37.5 hours but expect to have to work over 50 hours, which makes the pay even worse. Senior management's favorite saying is if you can get your work done in a day you don't have enough to do. Yes you get a lot of PTO but you can't carry any of it over, so use it or lose it, but good luck using it. Many time off requests are denied or cancelled because of staffing issues so a lot of people go out on a disability claim just to take time off. It's a very toxic work environment, low morale and many people are looking to get out of there and find a job elsewhere...this includes the managers.
