Nothing Good to Say

Pros

* work from home (only if you are a "high producer") *helpful IT staff

Cons

*significantly lower pay for females (yes, really). *I am shocked every day at the disdain management and supervisors have for their own clients * insulting Rewards Program (company-branded plastic junk that is typically passed out for free at trade conferences. Really). *only cares if boxes are checked for audits - no interest in the actual work product. *daily, ongoing software issues.

Unorganized

Pros

PTO given upfront. It is easy to get needed time off. Benefits are affordable. Starting pay is ok.

Cons

The training they give is very unorganized and unstructured. I feel like I haven't learned anything to do my job successfully and have mentioned this to upper management. I still haven't been explained in detail what my job is. They have no real training team and no real training process. Just employees that half way know how to do the job training us that probably don't want to do it. It is surprising because when dealing with claims alot of things we do are pay impacting so one wrong or missed step and the clients don't get paid. The meetings we have are very bland. It doesn't feel like a real team. Every seems unhappy or just there. There is no real team building. I do not plan on staying here long term. The client that I service offers a very generous Maternity Leave plan for their employees, they are paid 100% of their salary while on leave. Sedgwick only gives 6 weeks off to their employees and pay less than 80% of your salary. So if you are planning on having children keep that in mind. I also feel like there isn't much diversity or inclusion. No culture. All upper management look the same.

Pros

People on my team are fairly nice, albeit slightly incompetent. Benefits Package is okay, not terrible, not great but okay.

Cons

Very archaic in business style, for instance: you can have 5 "unexcused absences" (wake up feeling sick and call in is an unexcused absences) in a rolling 12 month period and you get written up. This is a joke and needless punishing during a global pandemic. While most positions are WFH currently, they will be forcing all non-Telecommuters back to office in the coming months. IT is little more than useless and doesn't really seem to know what they are doing. Old tech, monitors, keyboard and mouse, hard wired internet in office. Pay discrepancies between new hires. Damn near $10 dollars an hour between me and a fellow new hire. On the topic of pay, corporate policy is to not post pay range even on internal websites for openings. Shockingly out of touch. There is mostly outdated or non existent training. And then there is training the people training don't necessarily know how to train anyone. My first trainer was there for 30 whole days and wasn't able to answer any questions. Every question is reference back to a binder full of examples with very little guidance. The CRM system is straight out of the early 2000's and comes with no automation to speak of, everything must be manually sent or updated or applied. The amount of tribal knowledge and not standardization processes is concerning. Everything is a case by case basis and you'll learn as you go.
