There is a reason Select pays well...

Pros

The facilities Select contracted with were very clean and well run.

Cons

To meet the productivity standard a therapist has to do one of two things, break Medicare rules or work off the clock. I got pretty tired of working for free! If I would have averaged what I was paid and the actual hours worked, the pay would not have seemed so stellar. Patient care is ranked quite a few notches below productivity. Did I mention productivity is important to this company? You have to wait about 3-4 weeks for your first paycheck.

Very low morals company

Pros

You might negotiate quite decent pay Have many facilities

Cons

Don't even know where to start... everything from rotten upper management to just about every requirement implied to poor therapists on a daily basis who have to do fraudulent things to keep their jobs. Greedy blood drinkers getting money every way imaginable forcing therapist to do 100% productivity, putting on case load patients who are literally in vegetative state, forcing them to clock in and out the way they see suitable for them, making them to work weekends, etc.

Pros

None at all for this company standard

Cons

Productivity standards are so high and unreachable without working off the clock or blatantly lying and performing Medicare fraud ( which I would never do) . It's just not humanly possible with Medicare laws and one on one treatment required for the last few years. The job description just gets bigger and more complex and no corporate standards allow for modification to attain productivity standards . So basically in a 8 hr day you have 38 minutes to be unproductive including potty breaks , phone calls, -and shenanigans that happen in nursing ho,es like your patient is sick or does not want to get up for therapy . Not to mention we have schedules that dot work at all for SNF setting...... get real people!!!
