Pros

If you are looking for a job as a Director or Manager you will get very big bonuses coming off of the skin of vulnerable Medicare recipients, and wide eyed young therapists . You have an opportunity to make it really big here.

Cons

If you are a therapist and see "New Grads Welcome" on their advertisements start running. At best they are unethical. At worst they are abusive. The building I was at had a culture of threatening their therapists every time they did not comply with the hand book. The hand book states that you have 2 days to grieve the loss of a mother. The hand book states that if an emergency comes up like your car broke down, you will need to give a month notice. Anything that did not comply to the hand book, would be used as a threat to terminate you. I was in the ER about to undergo emergency surgery and was threatened for not having G codes complete. When I was at home for 6 weeks recovering from major surgery under doctors orders, they called me every few weeks to ask me if I could come in. They resorted back to their threatening ways and said that "we have to have a talk" when I get back. It turns out when I got back that my G codes were not complete while I was getting the surgery. If a patient was leaving the building on a stretcher, they would ask you to chase your patients out with a stretcher in order to get your minutes. Not getting your minutes for any reason was against the rules of the hand book. A naive fresh-out-of school therapist may not be able to tell that this behavior is in fact abusive. Its not you. Its them.

Pros

- I enjoyed my coworkers :) - Benefits are good

Cons

- Did not know schedule until 11pm the night before. - Upon arrival to work, hours were often added to my schedule . - 90% productivity rate nearly impossible during pandemic (donning/doffing PPE counts against productivity). - Often given 15 minute sessions, where I was expected to do the CNAs job of getting the patient ready, providing “adequate” therapy services and point of service documentation. - I felt forced into doing teletherapy at work. Was not provided accurate workspace to complete services; was expected to conduct telehealth in a noisy, community gym environment. * the list goes on and on

Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule, descent pay for the original select employees, the employees that worked formerly for Rehabcare were not made comparable offers to what other select employees get paid

Cons

Low pay for former Rehabcare employees that were bought by select, not worth the stress for the amount of pay
