Pros

good co-workers who focus on patients

Cons

company is watching you for productivity, productivity, productivity. must write why a group or concurrent therapy treatment must be turned in each day. salary increase does not exist. Contracted into company that is all about the money, not true patient services.

Pros

Decent insurance and paid time off (unless it’s bereavement time, then you don’t get much).

Cons

Upper management expects high productivity levels that are often difficult to achieve in the LTC setting, especially with all the paperwork we have. It forces us to spend very little time actually doing skilled therapy with our patients but charging for it because we are documenting with them “in our line of sight.” Yeah right. 10% pay cut during the height of COVID-19. We’ll never see that money again. No longer reimbursed for mileage between facilities.
