Pros

Work from home that’s it.

Cons

Everything else!! They lie to you from the beginning. They make promises about how much you’ll earn but it’s nearly impossible to be a top performing agent. First of all most other companies that sell Medicare policies invest in their employees. They give them 6-8 weeks paid training and pay for their licensing and certifications. Not Select Quote! You pay for your licensing, tests, and certifications and it costs you hundreds of dollars before you even start this job! They will remburse you but that does no good when you’re not working and their literally taking your last dime! They only pay you in the 10th and 25th of each month, so depending on when you start, you may not see a paycheck for 3-4 weeks! They promise you $18 and hour plus commission. But the offer letter says you make $18 an hour for that enrollment period, then your pay drops to $9.65 an hour plus commission! Your commission is based on a sliding a sliding scale based on your performance as staked up against your peers. They train you for two weeks on Medicare laws and then throw you in the phones and no one knows what the heck they are doing! Oh and once you pass your state insurance exam and “ get hired”, you still have to take your AHIP certifications and certifications for every insurer who’s policy you sell…It’s hours and hours and days and days of certifications that you end up doing on your own time because the small amount of time they give you in class is not enough to complete all of the certifications! They tell you that you are getting warm leads, but they have another department that’s basically telemarketers that get these elderly people on the line who have dementia or who have repeatedly said they are not interested in changing their Medicare plan but they just keep calling them and they transfer them to you, often cold transfers, and these people don’t know what going on or they’re angry! It’s harassment and elder abuse and they want you to turn these people into buyers! They cap out your leads and then out your inan auto dialer where they just keep calling the same recycled leads that have bites in the account that say they aren’t interested or already signed up! They have hiring classes with like 500 people at a time and now I m ow why…Everyone quits! For a reason!! This job is a joke! RUN!! You’ll be miserable!

Pros

They CAN make you money. Maybe the top 10%

Cons

It's a damn insurance pyramid scheme!! They'll get you hired with a ton of promises; then slowly remove and change pay and bonuses, have you sign, and unknowingly violate a ton of laws regarding wages; yet do so in such a confusing change of scaling, it's so confusing to even realize you're being ripped off until it's too late. 80% quit in the first year.

Pros

Decent training. Hourly wage okay, not great.

Cons

Micro managed to death. Most of the leads were not interested in buying. Just asked nuisance questions to waste your time. Just a revolving door of agents. Out of a class of 74 , 10 survived , for how long , who knows.
