Pros

they sell a permanent sales job earning $100K ave, with a permanent career, then term a person when they used you, with little notice, In truth, the ave sales person is making closer to $40K

Cons

was sold big money and a career. They hire hundreds of people making you think you found a home career, and without warning, they establish Minimum production that Should have been produced, and give impossible production requirements so they can fire 70% of the agents due to a "slow Period" but still advertising jobs for $100K ave, to $300+K. They make $575 per policy and pay sales $15 a policy then kick you to the curb

So many lies

Pros

Work from home is what many people want (not me though), The $18 an hour base pay to start is not bad, training is very easy and my coworkers are great people

Cons

They told me so many lies in the recruiting process about mainly working until 5 PM but then finding out during AEP you are never working until 5 PM you are always working much later but not getting as many calls or quality calls. Also finding out there would be endless pre-qualified leads most agents that I know hardly get any calls at all I had many licenses from a prior job so I got more calls than a lot of people but most of the leads were not pre-qualified these were people that were called by us had no idea what was going on and were angry and annoyed which I can’t blame them. I was also not told during recruiting that I would only be selling to senior citizens which I am not as good at I still manage to do better than some people but older people don’t like change they are hard to hear and they can’t hear me and they are often unpleasant to deal with I would much rather sell to somebody who is fully aware and competent. They also drop your base pay to $10 an hour and when that happens I will be leaving DoorDash will pay me much more my sales will not make up for losing that eight dollars an hour and I’m not looking for a $40,000 an hour job I’m looking for a $70,000 an hour job so I plan to stop this and do DoorDash until I find a better sales position that is in person and with younger clientele. My specific manager was a good person but many of the managers are awful from what I have heard from coworkers even my manager while being a nice human still advocates not taking breaks and working long hours and that’s not good for my mental health. I am going to take my breaks regardless because I am owed them. I was told in my interview there would be no cold calling and while there has not been for me due to my previous position in the states I am licensed in many many many of my coworkers have been doing lots of calls calling and are very unhappy about it. I am definitely a medium level agent I’m not the worst person but I’m also not the best I am fluctuating between a level one and a level two out of five. I am definitely not going to make up for the loss in base pay with the commissions it’s just not worth it and it’s a very unpleasant job. The training bonuses are the most money that you will make.
