Pros

A lot of great coworkers

Cons

Upper management doesn't know what they're doing. Decreasing pay. Micromanagement. They take 1% of your commissions if you don't sell enough ancillary products that have nothing to do with insurance. Such as home warranties, and identity theft. Benefits are some of the worst I've ever had for a company this size.

Pros

The hiring process is fairly simply, and it's not difficult difficult at all to go a job, especially if you know someone who already works there. The job in insurance sales, with all calls being inbound so you're not cold calling hunting for leads, which makes the jobs easier and at that point it's all up to you to recommend and close additional sales. The job is heavily focused on commission pay can be really good, but you'll hear this all the time, it's all up to how much work you're willing to put in, that translates into how many hours you're willing to work, how many calls you're willing to make, and how aggressive you are with your sales tactics.

Cons

Hourly pay starts off pretty bad, but since it's a sales job and the commission can be great you have to take a hit somewhere as a new hire. There are busy seasons, which means you make 80% of your income in a 6 - 8 month time span, so you have to be good at saving otherwise you can struggle through summer months since the your salary is so reliant on commission.
