Pros

very few...terrible place to work

Cons

The office is cliquey, and training is a joke. There is a lot to learn with three days of training, that was sped through, and everyone seemed to be confused as to why you didn't know anything when you asked questions. It's a cut throat office. The manager has no idea what his employees are up to. It was unorganized. It was the worst job I ever stepped into. I would not work here. It was a waste of time. Very stressful.

Pros

There is generally a feeling of flexibility regarding work hours and working from home. The office location is also ideal for anyone that lives in Sussex or Morris County NJ.

Cons

Long hours, work load is too much for the size of the staff, Cost cutting initiatives resulted in outsourcing (offshore) and a reduction of long term staff.

Pros

Pay and bonus is good, free parking, and flexible work schedule.

Cons

Work load is to large for small staff, causing priorities to be change daily and long hours. Application development done offshore is not reviewed by Selective IT employees. QA is also done offshore, so only acceptance testing is done by Selective employees which often is too late to be fixed before code goes into production. Top heavy with management that are out of touch with application developers. Newly hired managers are unqualified and don't bring much needed outside perspective. There is very little job growth, and training is rarely approved. IT application development staff has decreased even though number of managers has increased.
