Pros

Opportunities. Flexibility, especially for ability to work from home.

Cons

Too many middle mgmt layers. Over expectation for growth in the current market place. Lack of strong/effective training for new field staff employees.

Pros

Training is good, not thrown into the job without adequate knowledge base. Work from home option is a nice benefit. Benefits package is above average and not costly especially for a family plan.

Cons

Workload doesn’t seem to be evenly distributed some days.

Pros

decent salary, work from home, field employees who hit their numbers are left alone. bonus structure is good but you have to kill yourself to hit the marks

Cons

they give you tons of vacation but youre screwed if you try to take it because they are so understaffed all the time that nobody will touch your work and youll come back wishing you never bothered. they dont pay you for what you dont use either. better be a self starter because forget training too. figure it out or get out mentality. 60 hours plus with standard staffing. if the team is short kiss all your weekends goodbye. they talk about changing but after 10 years its gotten worse not better.

Pros

Great product portfolio and coverage rich forms with both a general and niche focus. Training was very good and train staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons

Very spotty reputation amongst agents in certain areas. Impossible goals to achieve. Management team is dishonest to employees and agents and is out of touch on many things. Knee jerk decisions are driven simply by the stock performance. Do not consider this place if you want a career in insurance. There are so many better choices out there with long term opportunities for professional growth.

Pros

Great people, good benefits, good training opportunities, and overall nice facility to work in.

Cons

No growth potential. Company seems to have a lot to offer as far as development of employees goes, but then there are no jobs to move into. I would have stayed at the company if there were more opportunities to me to move up.

Could be better

Pros

Great salary, work from home opportunity, very friendly co-workers, decent benefits, opportunity for growth within the company, excellent training program, lots of jurisdictional training.

Cons

Upper management loves to micromanage their employees, there are a ton of meetings that take up time, unrealistic expectations on claim loads, the staff is very overworked and under appreciated, they are rewarded for the work they can do by being put on performance plans, work life balance is non-existent.

Pros

Salary is very good, people are great, resources are abundant and the company is very employee involved. Management in very involved but this does not cause to much micro management.

Cons

Long hours expected, not enough training supplied it is available for you to do on tour own but there are so many hours in the day. They tell you to keep a balance between work and family but this is very hard to accomplish.

Horrible

Pros

very few...terrible place to work

Cons

The office is cliquey, and training is a joke. There is a lot to learn with three days of training, that was sped through, and everyone seemed to be confused as to why you didn't know anything when you asked questions. It's a cut throat office. The manager has no idea what his employees are up to. It was unorganized. It was the worst job I ever stepped into. I would not work here. It was a waste of time. Very stressful.
