I have been with Semrush for five an a half years now. We have always been a highly innovative company that is constantly evolving, but I can honestly say it feels like a fresh start with a new company. We have an amazing founder who is going to help us venture into new areas, but this transition brought in a new CEO with a different bur refreshing approach. After five years things can start to feel stale but I dont feel that at all as our new CEO has a whole new set of objectives that are helping build on our previous success. The more I invest in Semrush the more they invest in me. I dont just mean a financial investment, my manager cares deeply about my growth and development and is helping me reach all my goals.

Cons

Any con that I could muster up would be trivial.

Semrush is a great company with a cool culture. It feels like you're working at a long-term startup, but that's starting to change as leadership shifts. - Interesting projects - Great onboarding - Good company values - Freedom and trust upon first day of employment - Good benefits - Passionate employees

Cons

The company is still very Eastern European-minded in its values, and has only recently tried to bring in a global perspective. Communications from your managers (depending on the department) probably will be harsh. There is no tolerance for mistakes, no matter how small. It's a huge failure of leadership. There's management that's openly horrible to their employees and nothing is done about it. - No tolerance for mistakes - Bad management techniques - No support for career advancement. Figure it out - After year 1, your support system vanishes - you're on your own and you can't mess up - Weird cliques where some teams hate other teams for no good reason, and complain about each other instead of collaborate.

I’ve grown more here than I ever thought possible, thanks to supportive leadership, a phenomenal manager, and a team that pushes each other to be better every day. The company truly cares about its employees' well-being, with incredible benefits, and unlimited PTO that’s actually respected. There’s a real sense of trust and empowerment here. With rapid growth and so much opportunity ahead, I feel genuinely excited to be part of what we’re building.

Cons

Semrush is a fast-moving company, which means change is constant — new processes, priorities, and initiatives roll out frequently. Adaptability is key, and success here requires a proactive mindset and strong communication.
