Pros

I worked my but off to get a job with Sephora right after I graduated school that was my number 1 goal. I owe Sephora so much as they gave me a platform as an artist and had such amazing training. My team at the time was so amazing everyone loved what they did and loved Makeup. If you are starting out in makeup, I strongly suggest working for a company like Sephora for Artistry and to really work with different skins and textures. Plus the insane amount of brands at your fingertips. It's an MUA dream.

Cons

Moving up. It was increasingly hard to move up and get promoted for lack of opportunity. I still know some great artists who have been working there for years and are still in the same position. Work life balance is also a definite con.

Pros

Good company to work for as they use a lot off different vendors from Security, load balancing, routing and switching etc.. what will give a person to get expose to different vendors such as Cisco, F5, Pali Alto, Fortigate, Avaya, etc...

Cons

It's a retail company, therefore you are on call 24/7. You never know what to expect so it's hard to plan a family time

Pros

You get free product. Flexible schedule. Holidays off. Pto. You build lasting relationships with clients and cast members. Great way to learn how to communicate with clients.

Cons

Management team sets the mood. If you work in a store where there's lack of communication and inconsistencies...your work experience is destroyed. Teamwork is one of the vales however, where there's lack of teamwork there's no sense of value. You work hard but management doesn't genuinely appreciate your efforts. Management never practice what they preach. There's too many chiefs in the store. That's the problem. It's disappointing because I know so many people who enjoy working for Sephora in other stores and states. My experience has been destroyed.
