A few good things

Pros

Great work/life balance. Everyone checks out at 5PM with no expectations of working later. Slow moving, low pressure environment. A few nice people here and there and occasionally even a smart, nice person. Pay is ok with retirement plan if they deem you worthy and hire you full time. If you are of average intelligence, have little ambition, are talented at sucking up, and want to just put in your time and leave, this actually isn't a bad place to be - and I'm not being sarcastic when I say that.

Cons

Moral has been extremely low for years. Lot's of turnover. Management says they want change but barely pays lip service to it. Toxic backstabbing environment with under-educated, immature people. Communication and working relationships between management and employees actively discouraged. Old organization taking care of old people with old managers at the helm.

Pros

Awesome co-workers, friendly work environment. Management is great. Very nice residents living there. All around great experience.

Cons

Can be a little stressful with resident demands, that can't always be done. Other than that, no real cons here.

Pros

Caring company. Good to its employees. Has union and non-union employees, where all of the benefits and salaries are essentially equal. Therefore, the union employees are paying union dues with no real benefit. The union has it good.

Cons

Despite its beauty, it is difficult hiring staff at the Portola Valley site based on location.
