      SI International was an abysmal place to work

      Pros

      I can't really think of too many pros when it comes to SI International. They were fairly flexible when it came to time off.

      Cons

      They gave standard raises across the board no matter what your performance was and were about nothing other than the bottom line so they could sell the company. They had poor health care benefits that were extremely expensive for a single person. I believe I paid 150 per check and we were paid bi-weekly.

      Moving from Okay to Good... to Great?

      Pros

      Opportunities for advancement are very good for the talented and motivated. Many initiatives are moving the company in the right direction. Salaries are competitive especially in the classified Defense / Intelligence space.

      Cons

      Company does not have a great "bench" for consultants, so if there is no project that matches your qualifications, you may be out of a job. This tends to be typical for government contractors. There is also a lot of resistance to change which is hindering corporate progress.

      Uncaring attitude of management toward employees. Not handling situations in a professional manners. Lack of job security.
