Senior management in this company is, for the most part, retired military so they are steeped in the military mindset and can't get away from it. Meaning, they are the leadership and we should bow to their every whim and treat them as gods. The ones I have met have no idea how to deal with people, how tos peak to people, and how to treat people to keep them.
They say folks don't quit jobs, they quit their boss. In my case my immediate boss is amazing, it's everyone above her that is abyssmal. I'm not convinced any of them have any kind of training on how to deal with people. I'm not convinced any of them understand that without employees, they'd have no business.
Our office has 3 times the workload of other offices yet we have half the employees. When we inquired as to why that is, we were told "It is what it is."
