Pros

I really like my co-workers and manager, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to work from home now.

Cons

Our department doesn’t have enough employees, so everyone is overworked. On top of that, we are paid below market.

Be careful

Pros

Our center was great. Loved my coworkers and managers.

Cons

So much to say. Here’s a list! First, there is a reason all of the centers across the US are hiring. No one wants to work here. You will get paid way less than you deserve. Terrible hours. Evenings, weekends, and holidays. Advantage is being pushed way too much. New customers are considered new money and they are treated as such. If you’re on the phone, be prepared to sell agreements. They listen to phone calls and you’ll get popped. I had been dispatching for ten years, and they micromanaged me out the door. It was not worth my energy anymore. The techs are dropping like flies, so good luck even dispatching, or scheduling or anything. Without employees, it’s hard to get the work done. This place will be overrun by warranty and “free” service calls in the future.

Pros

Can’t express the mental torture, constant pushing, Long hrs(past midnights) no holidays granted when you are in need. Managers have 0 understanding of Work Life bal. If you have been in family env, prolly never find time for family in this job.

Cons

Working on weekends, late nights, stress unlimited, even the teammates are useless don’t hope they will help you get onboard easily.

Sales based to accounting based

Business Outlook

Pros

The resources of a national company, but generally speaking each branch is operated locally.

Cons

At the branch GM level, many (not all) managers do not have an industry background. They often make decisions without fully understanding the situation. The company emphasizes residential replacements to such a degree that other, sometimes just as or more profitable, ventures take a back seat. The organization as a whole would rather nitpick ways to deny commissions or bonuses to its sales force , or even hire additional salespeople so that it’s impossible to attain bonuses or maximize your commissions. I was one of their top sales people and they literally made no effort to retain my services, thinking it cheaper on the whole to hire two people to replace me. The advantage program is the main focus these days, and that has brought recurring revenue into the company. That recurring revenue has also led to a shift in management values from a sales based organization to one that is more focused on revenue collection - or essentially accounting based values. That shift has taken away the value of a good sales person. So long as their number is reached, they don’t care how many sales people it takes to reach it.

Avoid This Company

Pros

Allowed to develop skills and encouraged to increase sales. Provided benefit package that included health and dental insurance and accrued vacation and holiday time off.

Cons

The manager I worked with was particularly unprofessional, ignorant and gossipy and promoted an environment that was backstabbing at every level. It was hard to know if the company was driven by fear of failure or just fear in general. It was an unhappy company that was bought and sold multiple times.
